Remembering Stephen: a gift to Wycombe Homeless Connection

Christmas can bring joy, but also is a time of struggle for many, especially those grieving a loved one.

In July, Stephen Jessop, who was only 25 years old, died suddenly and unexpectedly at his family home. His family have been raising money in his memory for causes he cared about.

Stephen’s father and sister recently made a donation to us in his memory. They visited our legal drop-in centre in Chesham to see the work we are doing to help prevent homelessness before it starts.

Heather, Stephen’s eldest sister said: “My brother Stephen had, on many occasions, stopped and spent time with people who he knew were living on the streets.

“When Stephen passed we came across a form in his satchel to become a volunteer for Wycombe Homeless Connection. We knew that it was a charity close to his heart and decided that we would raise money in remembrance of my wonderful kind loving baby brother.

"I will continue to raise awareness and support this charity as much as I can.”

We are honoured to have received such heartfelt and meaningful support and for the opportunity to be part of ensuring that Stephen’s legacy lives on.
