One marathon down, one to go!

Kate Rogers began training for the 2020 London Marathon way back in October last year.

As the coronavirus pandemic progressed, the street race was postponed until October because of the pandemic.

But Kate wasn't going to let lockdown stop her. On Sunday 26^th April, the day the street race should have taken place, she ran the 26.2 miles on her treadmill.

Without the crowds to cheer her on it was a long, difficult day. People from across Buckinghamshire sent her message sof encouragement on social media, cheering her on her way. Ad the BBC even covered the story of her run!

After a gruelling six hours when for some periods, Kate struggled to get above walking speed, she' crossed the finish line'. And so far has so far raised over £1000!

And that's not the end of the challenge. So far, the London Marathon, street race, is due to take place on Sunday 4th October and Kate is determined to take her place on the starting line.
