Exhibition: Homeless, breaking the stereotype by Christopher Hall
Just over a decade ago, Christopher James Hall spent two years homeless around the High Wycombe area. Wycombe Homeless Connection worked with him and one of the activities we offered was a photography project.
Christopher's photographs were selected for display at Wycombe Museum, then library followed by a display at John Lewis, High Wycombe.
Two years after the first display, Christopher found a permanent place to live and just after moving in moving in he was given a camera by someone who remembered how inspired he was by the photography project. It was a moment that changed his life.
Christopher said: "Seeing my work on display was an encouraging moment and one that inspired me to want to break free from the homeless cycle and become a photographer."
Christopher now works as a professional wedding and portrait photographer has won him many awards and he is an ambassador for The Guild of Photographers.
Christopher founded The Narrators Lens, a not for profit company that provides photography workshops, projects and mentoring to disadvantaged individuals.
To mark ten years since the first exhibition John Lewis have once again put his photographs on display.
The display is viewable during opening hours from Sunday 25th March to until Thursday 6th April. Proceeds will benefit Wycombe Homeless Connection.
